Menzenchin tsumo (門前清自摸) or Fully Concealed Hand
Have your entire hand closed and win by calling tsumo. No chi, no pon, no kan.
Riichi (立直)
Once you reach tenpai, you may declare "riichi". Declaring riichi requires you to bet 1000 points, and announces you are in tenpai. You may no longer change the tiles in your hand.
Ippatsu (一発)
Declare riichi, then win by your next tile draw. In addition, no player can make tile calls between the riichi call and the win.
Pinfu (平和)
All sequences + a non-honour pair + a ryanmen wait. A ryanmen wait is two-sided waiting to complete a sequence (e.g.):
Iipeikou (一盃口) or Pure Double Sequence
Two identical sequences (e.g.) [1-2-3] [1-2-3] which will display as [1-1-2-2-3-3] in your hand.
1 han (Open or Closed)
Tanyao (断幺九) or All Simples
A hand containing tiles numbered from 2-8. No 1's or 9's (terminals) or honours (winds or dragons.)
Yakuhai (役牌)
A hand with at least one group of dragon tiles, seat wind, or round wind tiles. Each group is worth 1 han.
